Practical Information for participants to the European Platform for Biodiversity Research Strategy (EPBRS) Meeting, Brdo, Slovenia, 15-18 January 2008.
This meeting is by invitation only!
Registration
All participants are invited to register by the 17 December 2007 at the latest using the online registration form (instructions on how to proceed with the registration fields are provided).
At the Presidency Information Desk in the arrivals hall of Ljubljana Jože Pucnik Airport, participants and other registered guests will receive their registration badges. Should the participants arrive directly at the hotel, then the registration badges will be distributed by the organisers at the hotel. The registration badges need to be worn throughout the event as participants will otherwise not be able to access the venue or use the transfers provided between locations. In the event of loss of a registration badge, the organisers need to be informed immediately, as such changes require a special accreditation procedure.
Arrival and Transportation
Participants will be subject to the usual border-control procedures. Transportation for accredited participants will be organised:
Please note that after the transfer from the venue to the airport or hotel on the 18th of January 2008, no further transportation will be provided by the organisers.
There will be no special luggage-handling arrangements and participants shall be responsible for their own luggage during the entire event. Any additional information on transport arrangements can be obtained at the Presidency Information Desk in the arrivals hall of the airport and at the Congress Centre Brdo.
During the event, transport between different locations on buses will be provided by the organisers. Transports will be organised exclusively within the borders of the Republic of Slovenia and within the official programme of the event.
Special attention should be paid to visa requirements for entry into the Republic of Slovenia. Due to an increased frequency of air-traffic during the Slovene presidency of the EU Council, we would like to remind you to arrive at the airport at least 60 minutes before flight departure.
